About
The lamp was brought to us in a very fragile state. The glass had been removed, but was intact. The pot metal frame could barely be touched without being damaged. The fitter at the top was almost destroyed with missing material.
The frame could easily be compressed by just pushing on the sides. Nine missing pieces were made to duplicate what was already there. The new pieces were then soldered into place.

The panels were soldered together to give strength to the piece. 7 tabs were fabricated and installed to hold the glass. Then the piece was sandblasted, repainted, and antiqued.
The cast iron base was beautifully detailed with roses and leaves. Bell flowers dropped down the body.
The original glass was put back in place and the base was rewired using the original pull chain switch.
The cap and finial were added to complete the proper look of the time period of the lamp.
This 1909 slag glass panel lamp is now restored for many more generations to enjoy it.
