Mermaid Chandelier
About this chandelier.
This 1920 Empire Revival Chandelier was missing a mermaid.  The mermaid had to be recast from brass, buffed, and antiqued.
The casting had to be artistically carved to match the existing mermaids and leaves. After the pieces were cut from the casting, they were filed and buffed.
The green was added to the leaf and mermaid. The pieces were then antiqued to replicate the aged look of the rest of the chandelier.
This bottom view of the chandelier shows the intricate brass work done to complete the restoration.
This 1920 Empire Revival Chandelier is now completely restored to its original glory.
