As a young boy, Bob had a hard time learning and keeping up in school. In the 3rd grade it was discovered that Bob had a major learning disability. He struggled with math, reading, and writing, but excelled in art classes. It wasn't until he reached the age of 29, that Bob was diagnosed with dyslexia.
For most of his life, Bob thought his disabilty was a curse, and that because of it he would never accomplish anything. What he didn't realize until he was older is that though his reading and writing were embarassing struggles, his mechanical skills and drive to create came naturally and easily.
In the last few years, Bob has been tapping into this creative side, and finding it very rewarding. It has allowed him to express himself in many different ways. Craft Art is a result of this expression. These pieces are new and exciting territory for Bob. All of the pieces under Craft Art are one-of-a-kind, found nowhere else in the world.
In making these pieces, Bob strives for the highest of quality to give these pieces the durability to last for generations to come. The piece pictured to the right is a Fishtank Stand fashioned from a gorgeous antique lamp base. Two antique, brass Spanish galleons "on the high seas" are placed on each side of the bowl, and a brass whale is placed inside the bowl. The leaves glide up the side of the bow and flare out gracefully holding crystals.
